Conceptualize a conference, and create a logo, brand identity, merchandise, and advertising.

Loop Expo is a conference filling a gap in the music industry. While this conference brings together all elements of music, such as mixing, songwriting, singing and engineering, Loop is unique in its focus on music production compared to other competing conferences. Loop’s goal is to provide spaces for learning, collaboration, and creativity among women and gender expansive individuals in the music space, ranging from beginners to well established professionals. Loop focuses on empowering women to thrive in music production, a space that is predominantly male. The brand identity reflects the balance of professionalism and creativity, and leans more androgynous with a hint of femininity.

Process

I began the process by creating a moodboard to capture the feelings and personality of Loop as a brand, a brand which I aimed to keep androgynous in aesthetic, with more feminine design elements dispersed. This provided a jumping off point for logo creation, leading to a simple but dynamic signature mark.

Logo Progression

The logo mark I landed on captured the excitement of the conference in a simplified manner, with a clean and sleek look while also maintaining an element of fun, and playing with the image of a music gear cord.
